Something Old, Something New

Here it is now, my new blog. I decided to make a new one since I gave up all of my old blog sites because I couldn’t maintain it. Hopefully this one doesn’t die soon! It’s been a while since the last time I had the drive to share my thoughts with people I don’t personally know. Though I signed up for this one website that’s also like a blog but the difference is you can “reblog” other people’s entries and credit them for it. It was a nice network to be a part of but it still feels different to have a site that you can call your own.

I planned on posting my first entry on the 31st of July which is also my birthday but as we all know, birthdays can get a little crazy at times. Finally! I am 19! My last teen year has officially started. And my special day had its own surprise. I barely had an opportunity to think straight and gather my thoughts thereafter! So, here I am now, three days late but like what they all say, it’s better late than never! I’m glad I’m starting on this now because it felt like I’ve been having the urge of extending the deadline I’ve put up for myself yet again. Now you get the picture of why my other blogs never survived that long! It feels good to be back and it definitely feels good to have a new and more mature outlook in life.

Now that I am officially beyond the legal age, it completely feels liberating to be at the stage of your life where you dread to get closer to that big 2 - 0. I know that I’m barely there and I have a long way to go but just the thought of it makes me really happy. I can’t believe that I have gotten past through the stages in my life where I have to weight the good and the bad and watch out for myself 24/7. I can honestly say that I learned a lot from the year that have passed. There was so much going on that I could barely keep up but then again I stuck up with it and here I am now, still standing! And what I totally feel really happy about is that I am back! I am ready to take on anything and I’m ready to be open again. I cannot wait to get started!
